Lavender
This soap has lavender essential oil, and orris root. Lavender is a
Mediterranean shrub. Its name comes from lavandus (Latin for to wash). The
Romans used it to perfume their bath water. Some believe it is the spikenard,
a thing of great value, mentioned in the bible. The scent is described as
floral, sweet, herbaceous, balsamic, with woody undertones. Aromatherapists
say it is effective at relaxing brain waves and reducing stress. They also
say it treats lung, sinus and vaginal infections, and is a cell regenerator,
effective against burns and skin infections. It is also one of our most
popular soaps.
