Licorice-Basil
This soap has sweet basil essential oil, a little bit of aniseed, & cinnamon leaf essential oils and ground herbs. Basil is native to India although we associate it with the Mediterranean. Its name comes from the Latin word for royal. It symbolized fertility. The Greeks believed you had to curse when you sowed the seeds. The scent is described as camphorous, herbaceous, spicy, anise-like and lively. Aromatherapists say it relieves headaches, sinus congestion, sore muscles and is hormonally involved in other actions. They also say it is uplifting and "taketh away sorrowfulness."
